Choose from 2 study options
/div="containerclear_fluid">
STUDY OPTION 1 Continued Professional Development
Praxis can be used as a stand alone course, for CPD/top up training or as blended learning e.g. Newcastle University is utilising Praxis CBT to prepare and support Newcastle University/NTW Trust IAPT High Intensity trainees. Praxis can be studied in single modules with or without University accreditation. Many people choose to study Praxis to inform their CBT practice as part of their Continued Professional Development (CPD). A certificate of attendance is provided on completion for those choosing this option.
STUDY OPTION 2 University Accreditation up to Post Graduate Certificate
Praxis is working with the School of Psychology, Faculty of Medical Sciences at Newcastle University to allow participants on modules to receive academic credits. Fees, entry criteria and process differ from the Praxis CPD version. In order to receive a University Certificate of Credit Achieved and Academic Transcript, you would need to apply for entry onto a stand-alone module, be accepted, enrol at the University and successfully complete the module and associated assessment. Each of the following modules would be worth 20 credits at Postgraduate level; Fundamentals of CBT, CBT for Depression, CBT for Anxiety Disorders I and CBT for Anxiety Disorders II). The University is also developing a 60 credit Postgraduate Certificate in CBT, towards which such modules could be counted.
If you are a healthcare professional looking to gain skills in CBT, then this online training programme is for you. It will give you all you need to get started in the CBT field in a straightforward yet stimulating and highly interactive way, using a step-by-step approach. Higher Education Institutions can purchase an annual licence to provide the programme to learners registered with their university. PRAXIS CBT is IAPT 'high intensity' compatible having used the CBT Competences Framework and NICE Guidelines to develop its content.
