What support is available for PRAXIS CBT?

The training continues to be available with or without university accreditation so learners can choose the option most suitable for them.

University Accreditation
For those learners opting for the university accredited version, they will have access to the university’s library facilities and on-line Blackboard site for assignment details etc. They will also have access to regular tutorial support from the PRAXIS CBT team. This training will be conducted in cohorts so that learners will go through the training with peers whom they can correspond with through the learner forums.

Learner Forums
All learners have access to the learner forums and can submit personal blogs about their experiences of learning CBT skills.

Learners have the opportunity to access internet forums where they can communicate with other learners, tutors and expert guests invited to take part. These forums offer a unique opportunity to correspond with other learners not only from all over the UK but around the world.

Supervision
We can provide high-quality supervision to learners from experienced CBT supervisors. Currently we offer supervision face-to-face but hope to be able to offer online supervision in the very near future.  We are interested to know whether online supervision would be attractive to learners so please let us know whether this is a facility that may interest you.  We are currently trying to ascertain whether this is a service we should offer, your thoughts on this would be welcomed and will put you under no obligation to take up online supervision if we do make it available.  Please email deborah.rodger@ntw.nhs.uk with 'online supervision' in the subject heading.

  • This handbook is the latest guidance for all data collection issues within the IAPT Programme. It replaces the IAPT Outcomes Toolkit, the IAPT Key Performance Indicators Technical Guidance and the IAPT Data Quality Assurance Process and Metrics. All versions of these documents are superseded by this single document.
  • The government plans to publish a new drug strategy later this year. This targeted consultation provides an early opportunity for a wide range of partners to contribute to the development of the new strategy. This consultation is aimed at a wide audience, from charities to enforcement partners, drug workers, voluntary and community sector organisations. Responses from members of the public are also welcome. The consultation closes on 30th September, 2010.
